Meet Brooklyn, one of our KidsCAN! Alumni Scholarship recipients! Brooklyn and her siblings participated in KidsCAN! during her mother’s battle with cancer. Being so young when her mother was diagnosed made things especially challenging. She reflects on the impact of meeting other kids who were going through a similar experience, as well as feeling lucky to have a personal relationship with both Torry and Terrence Holt. Brooklyn and her siblings participated in KidsCAN! for over six years, and still feels such a strong connection today.
Brooklyn is heading into her senior year at Lindenwood University and is captain of their three-time national championship dance team. She has also acted as Lead Student Ambassador and spends time volunteering with the Disabled Athlete Sports Association all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. As standout student, leader and all-around person, we have loved watching Brooklyn grow in her journey. We couldn’t be prouder to support Brooklyn in her last year of undergraduate education at Lindenwood University!
