Meet Lynelle, one of our KidsCAN! Alumni Scholarship recipients! Lynelle participated in our KidsCAN! program during her father’s battle with cancer. She explains how our KidsCAN! program was an incredibly important outlet during a trying time in her childhood. The relief of KidsCAN! activities, even if just for a few hours, helped her to get through each day with some relief. After receiving this scholarship and experiencing an overwhelming sense of gratitude, her father has inspired her to pay it forward.
Now pursuing graduate school, Lynelle aspires to become a mental health professional. Largely impacted by her experience with the Holt Brothers Foundation, she feels strongly about helping others through music therapy. A talented musician herself, we know that Lynelle will be exceptional at just that. We are so proud of Lynelle, and we cannot wait to see all that she does!
