This year we sat down to redefine our core values as an organization and at the top of that list is, “we strengthen families.” What we mean by that is we are a family organization that supports families. We want to help each family member find a sense of normalcy and joy during the challenges a cancer diagnosis can bring.
Family has always been at the heart of who we are and why we do what we do.
Our story started with a Mom, Ojetta. It’s in her memory that we show up for families in the middle of a parent or primary caregiver’s cancer diagnosis and say, we see you, we are here for you.
December 1st was her birthday. And while she’s not here for us to celebrate with her in person, we celebrate her legacy by looking back on 24+ years of being there for families in the middle of a hard season when a cancer diagnosis arrives.
We are committed to this mission and will continue to show up with emotional support programs, scholarship funding and community partnerships.
Thank you for being a part of our story.
